Mac Jones is the latest in a recent run of quarterbacks in Tuscaloosa that have led the Alabama Crimson Tide to the top of the college football world.
Jones is a projected first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and he’s being hyped up by a former teammate.
Former Alabama quarterback turned Miami Dolphins first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa recently discussed Jones’ talent and compared him to a future Hall of Famer; none other than Tom Brady.
“I would say he’s a sly kind of athletic person,” Tagovailoa said during an appearance on the Yahoo Sports podcast. “He’s a more mobile Tom Brady.

“He’s a really great person. A lot of the guys, when I was playing at Alabama, they really loved being around his personality and who he was. So I’m thinking whatever team gets him they’re going to be very lucky. He’s a great player.”
Before getting his shot as the starter for Nick Saban’s squad, Jones served as a backup to Tagovailoa and Philadelphia Eagles starter Jalen Hurts.
Now, he will be looking for the opportunity to be a starter in the NFL.
The 2021 NFL Draft will officially kick off on Thursday, April 29, and will run through Saturday, May 1.
