Louis Nix III, who was reported missing in Florida earlier this week after last being seen on Tuesday, has been found dead, according to Ben Becker of ActionNewsJax.com.
Nix was 29 years old.
The former NFL defensive lineman and Notre Dame Fighting Irish star left his father’s residence on Tuesday and was not seen since. He was driving a 2014 gray Hyundai Azera.
On Saturday night, a vehicle matching the description was pulled from a pond near his apartment by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

During his NFL career, Nix spent time with the Houston Texans, New York Giants, Washington Football Team, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Back in December, Nix was shot during a robbery attempt while putting air in the tires of his car. The bullet entered his lung and he had surgery to remove it.
Our deepest condolences go out to Nix’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult and tragic time.
