Steve Sarkisian is making an immediate impact as the new Texas football coach.

Since taking over the Longhorns, Sark has wasted no time putting together an impressive staff for his program. The latest addition is once again being plucked from the national champion Alabama Crimson Tide.

According to Bruce Feldman, Crimson Tide special teams coordinator Jeff Banks will join Sarkisian with the Longhorns. He will continue to coach special teams and tight ends, while also adding the title of assistant head coach.

Banks is also known as a strong recruiter.

With the addition, Banks joins former Alabama offensive line coordinator Kyle Flood, who will be the new offensive coordinator/OL coach at Texas.

In addition, Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding could also be leaving the Crimson Tide for the Longhorns.

We’ll have to see if the strategy to pluck from Nick Saban’s program can restore the Longhorns to their winning ways.
