Dwayne Haskins Selfie Controversy

Dwayne Haskins created more headlines this week and this time it was because he was taking a selfie with a fan while Case Keenum handled victory formation duties. This comes just a week after Haskins created a scene on the sideline where he pleaded with his offensive linemen in one of the better rookie moments you’re ever going to see. Add it up and you have quite the start for No. 15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

How does someone miss the victory formation for your first NFL victory? Haskins doesn’t seem ready to blame it on the selfie game.

“I was so hyped, I broke a water bottle,” Haskins said. “I look up and we’re in victory [formation]. I thought the game was over with already, but I’ll get it next time.”

Interim coach Bill Callahan said the coaches were looking for him. He didn’t come across as upset, but he didn’t shrug it off.

“No, I don’t laugh at it,” Callahan said. “I’m happy we won. We’ll address that. I’m just pleased we won the game. I just have to find out.”

Haskins added after the game on Instagram: “They was counting me out, you know you shouldn’t of did that .. #Shhh.” Uh, who was counting you out? You’re a rookie quarterback, have proven nothing and can’t seem to handle yourself on the sideline. It’s one win. Act like you’ve been there before. Before I forget, let’s not forget that Haskins’ completion percentage on Sunday was 44.83% with an INT. I’m not even rounding up for the rookie.
