Browns fan try to ban fan for throwing beer / via Twitter
Remember Eric Smith, the Browns fan who was banned from FirstEnergy Stadium by Browns management for throwing a beer on Logan Ryan during the home opener back in early September? Remember how Eric swore he was at home getting ready for a DJing gig and wasn’t at the game? Yeah, well Eric filed a lawsuit Monday in Cuyahoga County courts for banning him & then Browns management telling him they had the wrong guy.
Eric is looking for a public retraction and financial damages, according to the lawsuit. It’s actually one of the better lawsuits you’re going to read with one liners like, “The game against the Tennessee Titans did not go according to plan, the Browns committed an obscene amount of penalties and turnovers, yet somehow the deficit at the beginning of the fourth quarter was only nine points.”
And this one is great too: “Plaintiffs states that Defendants’ actions or lack thereof have caused him and his wife to experience mental anguish, loss of income, loss of enjoyment and companionship and will continue to cause these maladies into the foreseeable future.”
Anyway, Eric, it appears from the lawsuit, is looking for somewhere in the ballpark of $25,000 for the Browns screwup to teach them a lesson and to not rush to judgement.
