The Cleveland police announced today the Muni Lot will only be open six hours before kickoff of Sunday Night Football against the Rams. This, according to a police spokesperson, is basic protocol, but fans just can’t fathom not throwing a Sunday afternoon Browns-stock before the game. It’s going to be weird for the fans, but they won’t be able to get into the lot until 2 p.m.
The spokeswoman also wants you to know there will be no dropping off people, grills and coolers before 2. YOU WILL GET ACCESS TO THE LOT AT 2 and that will have to be enough for your drunken self. And there you have it, the growing pains Browns fans will just have to deal with as their team gets to play more night games. The city clearly thinks you drunken fools will be dead before kickoff if they give you more than six hours to have fun before kickoff.
This is great news for all the bars in town that should be all over this news. First thing I’d do would be to throw a pre-Muni Lot party at my bar. Bring your buses, vans, trailers, etc. Come get smashed before the Muni Lot is a Facebook home run. As someone who has done the Muni Lot at like 9 a.m. for a 1 p.m. kickoff, I can tell you that four hours of straight pounding at the Muni is a helluva run. There were bodies passed out all over the place the day I was there. Women taking leaks behind RVs. Just mayhem.
It’s probably for the best that the Cleveland fuzz is trying its best to keep the rowdies in line this weekend. It’s a long season and there are still a Thursday nighter against Cleveland on the schedule and a very possible NBC flex against the Ravens before Christmas. It’s not a sprint this season, Browns fans.

Cleveland Police say the Muni Lot won't be open until 2:00 PM on Sunday for the Browns game. Won't allow anyone to wait in line either.

Maybe if drunken ass holes cleaned up after themselves they would be more open minded about opening the precious Muni Lot earlier. pic.twitter.com/mSuQw7a2Y1
