The viral Lollapalooza photo of the weekend has to be the pic (allegedly) of an Iowa fan being arrested for having what is reportedly a bag of wine taped around his waist, if you believe a Barstool Iowa State account that has every reason to shame an Iowa fan. Now that might be wine, vodka (remember Vodka Samm?), whiskey, or a number of other drinks that one would mule into a festival.
As for how Lolla turned out, there was one death and a couple dozen or so arrests. Pretty much typical of what you’d expect out of a massive event in Grant Park.
For the second year in a row, a festivalgoer has died after attending Lollapalooza.
As security on Saturday was tested by fence jumpers, thefts and an enormous crowd at rapper Lil Wayne’s set, day three of the festival ended with one death, four arrests, five citations and 30 hospital transfers, according to city officials.
The Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications released a statement regarding the matter Sunday:
“We were saddened to learn that an individual transported from the event in critical condition last night due to a medical emergency has since passed away the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”

And there was also a police horse that was assaulted:
