Conference tournament week is officially here and I have to admit that this week has always had a special place in my heart going back a long time to when the Big East was in its prime and I could catch four games on ESPN and it felt like all four were huge games — in the opening round. Then, after college, I ended up close enough to NYC to catch the Big East tournament in person and it was heaven, one of my favorite sports moments even if I can’t remember exactly how the games went or who played. I think Providence was in one of the games. Didn’t matter. You’ll get a West Coast Conference semifinal tip at 11:30 ET tonight. So it’ll probably tip at midnight and you’ll have action all the way until the bars close up. Fun time of year.
