Jessie James Decker 'Proud' Of Husband Eric Decker's Decision To Retire

On Sunday Eric Decker proved that not every white receiver on the Patriots is the second coming of Wes Welker or Julian Edelman as he announced his retirement from football on Instagram.

Decker signed with the receiver-needy Patriots in early August but showed nothing on the field to indicate he had a chance to make the final roster. Instead of trying to latch on elsewhere he called it a career after eight seasons with the Broncos, Jets, and Titans.
Decker’s wife, Jessie James Decker, took to IG Monday to pay tribute to her man with a photo from his Broncos days and a long caption:

Yesterday was an emotional day. My amazing hubby decided to retire from playing football and I couldn’t be more proud of him and his decision. I cried, smiled and ultimately respected his choice to finish this chapter to start another.

Suffice it to say she’s looking forward to a new car:

Can’t wait to share the next adventure with you babe and the amazing things you will do in the future! I love you so much my lover!!! Ps you said you were going to drive that beat up old Chevy Tahoe u got in college and ride it through the ground until you finished playing football, can we please get a new one now?
