Tristan Thompson rose from the ashes to become a Cleveland hero after a report stated he hit Draymond Green with a “two-piece” at an ESPYS after party last month. But was it really a combination Tristan landed or something else? This is an important detail everyone has to know.
New details have emerged since the initial report, and we have come no closer to any real answers. Lots of possibilities, though, that range from a “face mush,” sucker punch, or shove. Here are the new details from The Athletic (via RealGM):
Green and Thompson were guests of LeBron James at Delilah in west Hollywood.
According to sources, Thompson attacked Green out of nowhere.
“It was a sucker punch,” said one source who attended the party. “But, to be honest, it wasn’t really a punch. It was more like a shove.”
Another source described it as a face mush while other reports described it as a legit punch.
The two were quickly separated with James and Kevin Durant among the ones to intervene.
The party continued with Green and Thompson co-existing without incident.
We’re just going to run with the face mush because it sounds hilarious. It would be the second time Tristan has hit Draymond with it factoring their Game 1 Finals drama:
