Clint Frazier Channeled His Inner Bo Jackson Today

Clint Frazier got the start over Brett Gardner in the first game of the Yankees’ doubleheader against the Orioles today, and it did not go well, to say the least.

Frazier, like everyone in the MLB these days, had issues making contact and struck out three times while batting in the five-hole. He appropriately capped off his hat trick with a flawless bat break over his knee in the eighth inning:

Clint Frazier strikes out and promptly breaks his bat over his knee. Pretty solid form, imo.

“Red Thunder,” who was Baseball America’s No. 44 prospect in 2017, has struck out six times in his last 10 at bats, so yeah, this outburst was coming:

Clint Frazier strong

Frazier is a candidate to be traded by the Yankees before the trade deadline as the Yanks are deep as hell in the outfield. He’s slashing a robust .312/.391/.577 with 10 home runs in AAA this season, though that success hasn’t carried over to the big leagues as of yet.

Chirp all you want about Clint’s potential, but the man has the Bo Jackson thing down:

LOL Clint snapped that bat like a twig
