Remember where you heard it first, folks. Here I am on St. Patrick’s Day morning looking through ‘Roll Tide’ tags on IG when I came upon the tag team of ‘Roll Tide’ who made their Pro Wrestling 225 debut back on March 5 just outside Baton Rouge and turned the world of Louisiana wrestling upside down by getting a huge victory in their debut.
Team Roll Tide:
Trucker Jones — the big guy
Frankie Thomas — the guy who applies the pin
Brittany Lyn — hot POA manager & possibly in a relationship with Frankie because a chick this hot couldn’t possibly be down with Trucker and his wild Roll Tide lifestyle
It appears these three have been on the southern wrestling scene for a few years, possibly in Florida. It’s hard to keep track of what Roll Tide has been up to between championships. What’s clear is that they have the perfect heel branding to dominate in Louisiana. It’s like putting an ISIS tag team out there. Roll Tide comes out to the ring blaring Sweet Home at the Plaquemine Activity Center, just 16 miles from Tiger Stadium, and the fans are going to go out of their minds.
Then you have Roll Tide win enough matches to get a shot at the tag team belts. The saga goes on all summer and culminates with a championship rematch (they have to lose the first title match) against the hometown heroes on November 2, the night before the home game against Bama.
This is a perfect storm brewing down in Louisiana and now I’m all in.
