NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has come bearing good news for Patriots fans on this Hump Day: tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected to suit up for the 2018 season. That’s right, we can all stop overanalyzing Gronk‘s tweets ā his WWE career is on hold, at least for now.
Rapoport on Gronk’s probable return, retirement musings:
“He several took several weeks off to kinda let loose and put football on the back of his mind and really set himself free after football. He did ponder retirement. He did discuss potentially moving to another venue, WWE for one, maybe Hollywood. But the belief now is that those things will come after his football career.”
The expectation is that #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will return for 2018 after pondering his future, Iām told. He may never make a grand announcement, but the belief is entertainment opportunities (acting WWE) will wait. pic.twitter.com/WwbLZS4zfy

What a surprise. The Patriots have scored another major victory this offseason. First they somehow reeled Josh McDaniels in the fold while burning the rival Colts, and now Gronk is back. Business as usual in Foxborough.
