Today in Football Players Pretending to Be Baseball Players: Russell Wilson Hits HRs in BP

Hey there, baseball fan. Did you hear that Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is also a New York Yankee on the side and is present at spring training? No? Well, it doesn’t really matter anyway because he’s not playing in any games, but he sure did soak up some attention during his “debut” on Monday.

Nothing too spectacular happened unless, of course, a couple of dongs in batting practice hit by a former minor leaguer is supposed to wow us:

If you want to see just the home runs, Russell made sure to upload a supercut of them onto his Instagram page:

The official word is that Russell hit a total of five home runs during his BP sessions, one of which coming on a hypothetical 9th-inning, two out situation. Quite clutch.

Fun fact: Five bombs matches his minor-league home run count from his tenure with the Tri-City Dust Devils and Ashville Tourists back in the day.
