By now you guys know I kinda like this white guy dunking machine Mac McClung out of Gate City, Virginia. My first post on this guy explained the official position for Busted going forward — we’re on the Mac bandwagon and if I catch LA James or Danny the Intern disparaging the kid, they’ll be fired.
Some of you were shocked that Georgetown landed Mac, but once you watched Mac dunk you got it.
Now we’re into district play in the Virginia state playoffs and Mac had himself a night Thursday in a Mountain 7 District semifinal win over Abingdon District.
He had 37 in that game and is inching closer to breaking Allen Iverson’s state high school scoring record. One report had him just 73 points away from the record heading into tonight’s game and barring a complete disaster in the tourney, that record is getting lit up.

Maybe the biggest news this week out of McClung’s performance was the performance of teammate Zac Ervin, a junior who already has offers from Central Arkansas, Duquesne, East Tennessee State, Marshall and James Madison. Ervin is a 6’5″ dunking machine too.
I’m still trying to figure out how some tiny town on the Virginia/Tennessee border has turned into a white guy dunking factory. Gate City’s population is 2,000.
