It’s been a while since we heard from our old friend Ryan Lochte. It’s been well over a year since he’s been in the news and I’d say that’s a good thing. After the whole Rio fiasco, it was probably good for him to lay low for a while and get out of the spotlight so he can’t cause any more international incidents.
What he has been doing over that time was getting engaged and raising a newborn with his lady, Kayla Rae Reid, a Playboy playmate that we introduced to you guys back during the Olympics.
This week, the couple tied the knot and surprisingly kept about as lowkey as you possibly can by doing it in a courthouse.

According to the marriage license, obtained by TMZ, Ryan and Kayla had a courthouse wedding Tuesday in Gainesville, Florida. Ryan’s dad, Steven, was a witness to the ceremony.
We broke the story … the 6-time Gold medalist picked up his marriage paperwork last week and we were told “marriage is imminent.” Turns out, it was very imminent.
The couple got engaged in October 2016 on top of a mountain and had their first child together — their son, Caiden — in June.
Remember this is a guy who LOVED the spotlight. He had his own reality show and he embellished a story likely for attention that blew up in his face. This week he got married in a court with just his dad in attendance. Nothing big, nothing fancy, no cameras. Smart move.
