Back in December, Ken Rosenthal broke the news that 53-year-old disgraced slugger Rafael Palmeiro was looking to make a comeback and legitimately thought he could do it. He said he’s been taking care of his body, he’s been working out constantly (steroid free?) and
After that story, of course, we all went about our day because it was a bunch of ridiculous nonsense. But here we are, almost exactly a month later, and Palmeiro is out here taking hacks in the cage saying things like “the comeback is real”.

Now that it looks like he’s all in on this comeback, I see no reason the shouldn’t bring him back. Throw him in the DH spot tot open the season, sell a shit load of tickets, get a little buzz going around the team, and let him sink or swim.
I think we can all agree that we’d love to see an age 53 Palmeiro chug around the bases trying to leg out a double.
