The Cleveland Browns have been so bad for so long that we now have fans literally blaming the team in their obituaries for their death. One win in the last over the last 30 games, four wins over the last three seasons, mixed constant whiffs on draft picks and persistent dysfunction will do that do a die-hard fan.
Paul Stark of Mansfield, Ohio passed away this past Wednesday from complications of a brief illness along with the Browns being so shitty. This, of course, is according to his obituary after he passed:
Paul Stark passed away on December 27, 2017 of complications from a brief illness, exacerbated by the hopeless condition of the Cleveland Browns, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
It’s sad to see all of the pain the Browns have caused families over the years. Maybe having a dead person trash you from beyond the grave will be the wake-up call they need to put an end to the unvarying incompetence.
The obit wasn’t all doom and gloom, though. There was a still a spark of optimism that we’ve come to see from Cleveland fans. Although, I’m not so sure about this:
Paul passed just before the Browns were prepared to turn the corner but had many well-earned blessings.
At least they have a sliver of hope.
