By now, surely you’ve heard that the younger Ball brothers are taking their talents to Eastern Europe, specifically Lithuania, so they can both avoid NCAA regulations and make a little cash before LaVar somehow gets them drafted by the Lakers to join their brother Lonzo.
Obviously, Lithuania isn’t the first place you think of when it comes to overseas basketball. Usually, it’s the leagues in Spain, or Turkey, or Greece that produce the top talent. But the 2 younger Balls aren’t at that level yet, so they settled with a small league in Baltics. Now it’s time to hear what the basketball fans there have to say about it.
Clearly, as you can see above in the interviews with random people walking down the street in Prienai (the city they’ll be playing in) the Lithuanians are CLAMORING at the bit for the Big Baller Brand to make their way across the pond.
Here are some of my favorite highlights:
You think this guy is ready for Hurricane LaVar?
Here’s a couple of nice ladies who seem excited
And this lady keeps about as real as you can
You play well, we greet you nicely. Simple as that.
I can’t wait to see how long this lasts.
