Mitchell Trubisky Gets Ready For Life With the Browns

On Thursday, Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reported that the Browns are “strongly considering” North Carolina quarterback Mitch Mitchell Trubisky with the first overall pick. We’re guessing that news makes Browns fans want to jump off a bridge, but hey, Hue Jackson just loves his size — and he grew up a Browns fan to boot.
Mitchell, who hails from Mentor, clarified that in a whiteboard interview with NFL Network’s Steve Mariucci:

In Mitchell’s defense, it sounds like he had a pretty good workout on Saturday — not Deshaun Watson good, but good. The details from CBS Sports’ Rob Rang:

Trubisky, the top-rated quarterback on NFLDraftScout.com’s board, threw the ball well, showing the efficient set-up and delivery, smooth throwing stroke and accuracy that belies his 13 career starts. Before throwing, Trubisky also showed off his exceptional athleticism, officially clocking in at 4.67 seconds in the 40-yard dash, which perhaps appropriately enough was one hundredth of a second behind Watson’s best time.
