For all the degenerate gamblers who have their bookie on speed dial just trying to put a little extra cash in their pocket. We will look at a few games from this week and hopefully get you paid. Lines may vary depending on your bookie or website. Pick at your own risk.
Bowling Green at Ohio State – 27.5
BG had a pretty exciting offense last season and it was all because of QB Matt Johnson, but he’s gone now and leaves the reigns to inexperienced QB James Knapke. Their O line is still very strong and RB Fred Coppet looks to have a great season behind them, but they won’t put up nearly as many points as last year. Cardale and Elliot are gone, but QB JT Barrett is still very much present for the powerhouse Buckeyes. Every year Ohio St is in contention for the national title and we all know margin of victory helps in the BCS rankings, look for Ohio St. to score early and often.
Pick: Ohio State -27.5
Miami Ohio vs Iowa -27.5
Iowa had a remarkable season last year, surpassing their own expectations, and this year they want even more. Iowa left the big ten championship game last year with a bad taste in their mouth and a chip on their shoulder, look for them to come out and make it a point to prove something. Their defense returns key players on defense, look for them to shut down Miami Ohio’s offense, while having no problem putting up points. Miami Ohio is a young team and is in for a long night in front of their home crowd.
Pick: Iowa – 27.5
UCLA at Texas A&M -2.5
UCLA is coming into the season ranked 16th which is very much deserved, the finished last season 8-5 while averaging a little over 32pts a game. Their Defense lost a bunch of starters which won’t help them improve on the avg of 26pts they gave up a game last season. The aggies come into the season unranked and lead by two Oklahoma transfers QB Trevor Knight and RB Keith Forde who aim to improve an avg 2015 aggie offense. This game is going to be very close and will go back and forth, look for the 12th man to aid in A&M escaping this game by a slim margin.
Pick: Texas A&M -2.5
Clemson -7.5 at Auburn
Clemson travels to Auburn as the #2 ranked team in the nation lead behind Heisman hopeful Deshaun Watson and a strong defense. Last year Clemson had one of the most explosive offenses in the land and looks to be even better. Auburn had a disappointing 7-6 season with a run heavy offense, which will likely continue with the lack of presence at QB. Clemson wants to make a statement to let everyone know they are a front runner for the national title, their offense will be too for Auburn to handle, and will win this game.
Pick: Clemson -7.5
