Tim Tebow’s baseball showcase was crazy underwhelming, but that didn’t stop the Bridgeport Bluefish, an independent baseball team, from offering him a contract anyway!
The Bluefish are clearly excited at the prospect of selling tickets and even dropped a press release to their fans:
“The Bluefish welcome Tim with open arms,” said Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole. “The Atlantic League is all about giving players opportunity, and we think Bridgeport would be a great place for him to begin his professional baseball career.”
…
Tim Tebow will be called up to the Bridgeport Bluefish roster, effective immediately upon his acceptance and contract signing.
Of course, the Bluefish are the same team who hired the NWO (yes, that NWO) to manage a game this week, so this is clearly the perfect team for Tebow’s sideshow act.
Sidenote: Tebow now has two contract offers on the table — he also has interest from a Venezuelan winter ball team.
