I mentioned Wednesday on Twitter that it’s been too long since our last update on Tommy Lasorda, who has been a content-generating machine for BC over the years. The GOAT had been in the daily rotation, but then he took off the winter and we failed to get him back into the mix. Sorry about that.
About 24 hours later, this NYC salon pic popped up on a search and here we are looking at what I consider to be my new all-time favorite Lasorda social media pic. Tommy was at the Spiotta Salon getting the full royalty treatment today. The mani. The pedi. The fresh cut.
The works.
The guy goes in spurts where it’s some of the best content on the Internet. You loyal BC readers know the deal here. We’re fascinated at Tommy living the ordinary life at 88. We love when he randomly shows up at Buffalo Wild Wings to hammer a tall draft. We love when he eats hot dogs in Cooperstown.
This is why I wake up in the morning. As a kid, I hated Tommy and the Dodgers because I’m a Reds fan & they always kicked our ass on the west coast swings. Now I can’t get enough of the guy in his element.
I should also note that God gave this guy a heart of gold because he’s punished that body over the years, but he can still fly from coast to coast. Meanwhile, I can barely get out of bed in the morning.
