JPP took Sports Illustrated along for a detailed breakdown of the Fourth of July fireworks incident that claimed some of his digits. As you can see below, he says he was popping fireworks all night (from his U-Haul stash) for his sister’s birthday —and the kids, of course— until he lit one that just went off on him:

Of course, JPP still managed to land a one-year deal with $8.5 million guaranteed this offseason, so he’s lucked out quite a bit.
