Top NFL Free Agents 2016: Safeties

If your team needs playmakers in the secondary, this is the free agent market to make a splash. On Wednesday, we went over the deep crop of available cornerbacks, and now we’re on to the safeties.

The top guy in this class is probably the Chiefs’ Eric Berry, who made a remarkable comeback from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The one problem with him: there’s no way the Chiefs let him hit the open market.

Fortunately, there are other premier players like Eric Weddle, George Iloka, Husain Abdullah, and many more.
The 2016 NFL free agency period starts at 4 p.m. on March 9.
