LSU Has Most Players On NFL Week 1 Rosters; Miami Second

Who puts the most players on NFL rosters? Not Alabama or Ohio State (didn’t make the top 10).  LSU claimed the title during Week 1 of the season thanks to an incredible 10 defensive backs playing around the league. It’s the third year in a row that LSU has been either #1 or #2 in this competition.

The big shocker here is that Oregon leads college football with five running backs on rosters. You have Kenjon Barner, LeGarrette Blount, Jonathan Stewart, LaMichael James (was released by Dolphins on Monday) and there must be one other that I’m missing.

Also interesting is that this tweet comes from the Saints. Not one LSU player is on the team’s active roster.

Update: Saints DB Delvin Breaux attended LSU, but never played for the Tigers due to a fractured vertebrae that occurred in high school. LSU honored his scholarship, but he eventually left the school without playing.
