Travis Kelce is continuing to find success on the field with the Kansas City Chiefs while popping up in the celebrity gossip headlines thanks to his relationship with megastar Taylor Swift.
Kelce has taken the headlines and jokes in stride, most recently saying the NFL is going overboard with its Swift coverage and also cracking a joke about a conversation between Swift and his father.
Travis and his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, were bantering on their “New Heights” podcast when they discussed the “terrifying conversation” between Taylor Swift and their dad.
Travis joked that Swift meeting his mother Donna was no problem, but meeting his father Ed gave him some nerves.
“If you were watching the game, you saw something momentous happen — which was Taylor Swift talking to Ed Kelce,” Jason Kelce said. “He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift.”
Travis joked, “This is a terrifying conversation. I felt terrible for Taylor.
“Talking to mom, alright that’s gonna be fine. If you see dad talking to anyone and you can’t hear what’s happening, who knows where that conversation is going.”

It’s a hilarious and relatable moment for anyone who has introduced their new partner to their parents, but the Kelce brothers were clear that they were joking and admitted that Ed is the “best f*cking dad in the world.”
While Travis and Taylor made surprise appearances on Saturday Night Live before spending the weekend together in New York City, they’re now getting back to day-to-day life as Travis gears up for a Week 7 showdown against the division rival Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday evening.
