Another day, another arrest for reckless driving within the Georgia football program.

Jarvis Jones, who starred for the Bulldogs as an outside linebacker and is currently a member of the coaching staff, was arrested on Friday night and charged for reckless driving and speeding/maximum limits, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jones was arrested at approximately 11:30 p.m. and released an hour later on a $2,400 bond.

It is the 14th arrest for speeding and/or reckless driving for a member of the UGA football program since offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy were killed in a high-speed crash on January 15 after the team’s championship parade to celebrate the second straight national title.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart spoke about the cultural problem in the program when it comes to reckless driving and speeding.

“I’ll be the first to admit we haven’t solved that issue or problem,” Smart said over the summer, according to the report. “I don’t honestly know that anybody has. But certainly for us, it’s important to acknowledge it first. We’ve had a lot of intervention in terms of talking and visiting, and discipline measures have been implemented in terms of education. We’ll continue to do that.”

The university has not commented on Jones’ arrest at this time.
