Joe Burrow has helped to lead the Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl in just his second year with the franchise.
Burrow can become the first quarterback to win the Heisman, a national championship, and Super Bowl if he helps the Bengals get the win on February 13.
But over the weekend, reports surfaced that Burrow could’ve landed in Miami.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Bengals had an offer from the Dolphins that would have sent Burrow to Miami in exchange for three first-round picks.
However, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor quickly denied the reports.
“That was never discussed,” Taylor said. “Maybe it’s that phone call that never got passed along to everybody else, just because we knew exactly what we were doing. Weren’t even entertaining it. You could’ve given us 100 first-round picks and it wasn’t happening. There was never really any conversation about that.”
In the end, the Bengals came out on top and found their quarterback of the future.
