The Tampa Bay Buccaneers season ended last weekend and immediately the attention turned to the attention of some of the team’s star players.
Of course, Tom Brady has been a main topic of discussion, but tight end Rob Gronkowski could also decide to return to retirement.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Gronk opened up about his current mindset about retirement which may not be what Buccaneers fans want to hear. What was clear is that Gronk will seriously consider retiring for the second time.
“If they’re like, ‘Rob, you’ve got to decide right now, right this second if you’re playing next year,’ I would say no right now. I would be like, ‘No, I’m not playing,'” Gronkowski said.
“I just want to heal completely, see where my thoughts are from there. Just let things settle down — got to just heal a little bit. Fix all the bumps and bruises.”
This season, Gronk recorded 802 yards and 6 touchdowns in 12 games.
If he does decide to retire again, we can be sure that Gronk will be returning to our screens in one way or another.
