One of the best things about college football is the different uniform combinations fans see on a weekly basis. This week fans will see blackouts, retro looks, and a beautiful tribute to an unfortunate tragedy.

Marshall

This year will mark 51 years since the Marshall football team plane crash tragedy. While the tragedy still lives on in the Huntington, WV community, the program will celebrate the lives that were lost on that horrific day. The Thundering Herd will rock these special helmets on game day, and for one weekend, we all are Marshall fans.

Boise State

Boise State has been leaving the rest of college football in the dust with their uniform options this year. From classic helmets to this all-black look, it will be hard for the rest of college football to catch up. This beautiful blackout game will swap the normal all-blue look that usually matches the Boise smurf turf.

Veterans Weekend – Navy and Air Force

A few of the military academies in college football are showing out this weekend in honor of Veterans Day. Navy will have double the celebration this weekend as they celebrate the Naval Academy’s birth with their fresh look. Air Force will be rocking a special edition uniform for their rivalry game against Colorado State. Thank you to all who serve and have served this great country.

UNC

UNC’s Twitter has the perfect description for their uniforms this week, “Keeping it simple.” UNC has one of the best color combos in all the land, and keeping it simple is what they should do every week. After a big win over Wake Forest last week, the Tar Heels will be looking fresh as they look to win another big one this week.
