South Carolina cheerleader Mariah and her teammates have an uphill battle this week with Alabama coming to town with Maddie and the Bama cheerleaders in tow. We’re talking about a Bama senior cheerleading corps that has suffered three losses in three seasons! However, let’s not forget that the last time a Bama team played South Carolina — it was in Columbia — the Cocks won and helped ruin a Bama year that ended at the Capital One Bowl.
Bama came into that game ranked No. 1. This time it’s at No. 2, but it’s a different Cocks team from way back in 2010. This version of the Cocks lost its opener to North Carolina before tearing up Charleston Southern. Bama’s a 25.5 point favorite and should roll with ease.
Mariah and her fellow Cocks cheerleaders will need to get the locals fired up early for this one (3:30, CBS) because we’re talking about a Bama team that hasn’t lost a regular season SEC game outside the state of Alabama since October 4, 2014 to Ole Miss.
