Palace Station has completed the renovation of its race and sports book just in time for the kickoff of football season. The overhauled race and sports book now spans more than 8,000 square feet and hosts a new bar. The area features 200 chairs and one large screen flanked by 36 LED-screen TVs to each side. The race and sports book renovation is part of the $192 million upgrade of the 42-year-old locals property.
Yep, we’re headed for an arms race in Vegas when it comes to sports books. Just think what that city is going to be like when the NFL comes to town and eventually the Super Bowl. Now is the time to start expanding and building that base of customers for at least 8 home regular season weekends, not including preseason and then that eventual Super Bowl that’s coming. I’ve circled my calendar so many times I can’t count at this point. A Vegas Super Bowl is going to be one of those don’t miss events in your lifetime. Cancel vacations for the next four years or so and save up. That’s going to be a blowout bender like men have never seen before.
