Eagles fan HailSaganSatan has caused an outpouring of emotions on Eagles/r over a very simple message he posted on Saturday where he took the above photo of his dad’s ashes in what appear to be a USPS shipping box with this headline:
Haven’t had the heart to take my dad out of this box yet but I know he’d be so happy to see this game. So here he is ready with his last jersey in his lucky chair . Go Birds!
And there it is, the emotions of this weekend are catching up to the fans who’ve waited so long for redemption against the Patriots. For those who’ve waited so long for a Super Bowl trophy. The feelings are catching up to these people. They’re ready to bust out the urns so loved ones can experience Super Bowl Sunday.

By the way, you can buy an Eagles cremation urn for $174. No joke, that link works. And before you think that it’s just one guy on Reddit who had emotions over a loved one catching the game, how about the Eagles fan who is taking his brothers ashes to the Super Bowl. His brother died of a heart attack on New Year’s Eve.
“I would love to get his ashes to the game so he could see his Eagles play in their most important game of the season,” he wrote in a GoFundMe post. “I know the team could use a 12th [man] on the field!”
When I stumbled across his fund-raising page, Immordino had raised about $30 of his $2,500 goal.
A true Eagles fan, he was careful not to get his hopes up too high. “Even if I don’t get to go,” he said, “I appreciate the opportunity to talk about my brother, letting people know how loved he was, how he’ll never be forgotten.”
(That was wonderful, of course, but I wanted nothing less than Super Bowl or bust for him.)
And then $30 turned into $300 and then $1,000 and then on Jan 27, just a few days before the one-month anniversary of his brother’s death, Immordino sent me a message.
“Reached my goal! Just got my SB ticket.”
And before you think this is anything new from Eagles fan or NFL fans as a whole, let’s go back to 2005 when a man ran onto the field to spread his mom’s ashes.
“She never cared for any other team except the Eagles,” Noteboom told WPVI-TV after he was released from custody yesterday. “I know that the last handful of ashes I had are laying on the field, and will never be taken away. She’ll always be part of Lincoln Financial Field and of the Eagles.”
Clearly emotions will be high today.
