It is with great sadness that we inform you all that the lanky, home-run hitting Alfonso Soriano you know and love is no more. That person left the building in 2014, and has since been replaced by a crazy souped up version that randomly made an appearance during Tuesday’s Cubs-Rays game.
Fangraphs has Alfonso’s last listed playing weight at 195 — it’s safe to say he’s tacked on more than a few pounds in retirement. Look at those guns!

According to CSN’s Patrick Mooney, Alonso is enjoying his retirement in Tampa and sees Lou Piniella at the gym weekly:
