The Los Angeles Rams are having a tough time this season. In just the first two weeks, they’ve lost four important players to injuries.
Most notably, wide receiver Cooper Kupp might be going to injured reserve, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Head coach Sean McVay mentioned that Kupp is expected to miss “an extended period of time.”
Kupp was seen leaving the locker room in a walking boot after their 41-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. It seems he hurt his ankle during the game.
Adding to their woes, another top receiver, Puka Nacua, suffered a knee injury in Week 1 and is already on injured reserve. This means the Rams have now lost 12 starters due to injuries—an incredibly difficult situation for any team to bounce back from.

Should the Rams even try and continue at this point?
If you’re managing a fantasy football team, finding replacements can be tough. But for McVay, it’s much worse.
Replacing both Kupp and Nacua is an enormous challenge. The Rams’ wide receiver lineup hasn’t been this thin since they won Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford now has limited options like Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, and rookie Jordan Whittingham. Colby Parkinson and Ronnie Rivers joined the active roster before the Arizona game.
Whittingham had 505 receiving yards at Texas last season. Atwell, Robinson, and Johnson together managed just 862 yards in 2023 with Los Angeles.
Los Angeles hardly managed any offense against Arizona on Sunday. They recorded only 245 total yards and scored just 10 points.
It’s likely a sign of what’s more to come if no strong replacements arrive soon in Inglewood, Ca.
