The 12s can finally relax because Geno Smith, the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, is okay.
Coach Mike Macdonald had said Smith needed more tests on his knee and hip after missing practice twice.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter later shared better news. According to Schefter, tests showed “nothing significant” in Smith’s injuries. A source even mentioned that Geno “shouldn’t miss any time.”

While it’s great that Smith avoided a major injury, it would be best to see him back at training camp soon. Despite the good news, he still missed Friday’s practice.
Bob Condotta from the Seattle Times reported that Smith was due for another test on his hip that day. So, there’s still a bit of uncertainty.
Nevertheless, this clean bill of health is excellent news for the Seahawks. Condotta believes Smith’s break from practice might end soon.
Until then, backup quarterback Sam Howell will take over first-team reps. Howell handled all first-team duties on Thursday and part of Friday. Additionally, P.J. Walker will be available as the third-string quarterback.
Smith has revived his career as the Seahawks’ starter over the past two years. He led Seattle to a 17-15 record and a playoff appearance in 2022.
In the last season alone, Smith completed nearly 65% of his passes for 3,624 yards with 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions in just 15 games. With a new offensive coordinator, Ryan Grubb, there’s hope he’ll improve even more.
So far so good for Geno and the Seahawks!
