The drama surrounding the Dallas Cowboys continues into the team’s offseason after being bounced from the playoffs following an embarrassing loss at home to the Green Bay Packers on Wild Card weekend.

As the fallout from the early postseason exit continued, we saw star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s mother calling out Dak Prescott on social media, saying the team needs to get rid of him.

A large majority of the fan base and reporters covering the team have also been angry with the decision to stick with head coach Mike McCarthy.

Now, anonymous players are running to the media to criticize the starting quarterback and head coach.

According to NFL Network reporter Jane Slater, one player said that Prescott “panics” when he has to go through his progressions. There were also concerns about “stubbornness” from McCarthy for not adapting the team’s schemes.

“Another player was frustrated with a stubbornness to stick to schemes on both sides of the ball,'” Slater wrote via Sports Illustrated. “Motion offenses killing defenses and concern that Dak panics when the first read is not there.”

It’s not a good sign when players are running to the media to leak information and concerns about their teammates and coaching staff. When you add that family members are getting involved in drama, it doesn’t seem like things are going to end well.

Running to the media or airing dirty laundry is breaking the trust of your teammates and breaking the trust that you expect to have in the locker room.

But this is the Dallas Cowboys. The team is used to drama.

We’ll have to see if they can push forward and finally figure things out or if this will be another 12-5 regular season with a one-and-done playoff appearance.
