Maxx Crosby has made it clear who he wants to become the next full-time head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.
While speaking to the media on Thursday, the star defensive end said that the Raiders head coaching search should not take long because they already have the right man for the job.
That’s when Crosby endorsed interim head coach Antonio Pierce to take over full-time next season.
“There’s only 32 [NFL] head coaches in the whole world,” Crosby said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. “So you’ve got to find a leader of men. And when you’ve got one of them in the building currently, I don’t know why you would let them go.
“I’ve made the playoffs one time in five years. It’s bullsh*t. And we’ve got to figure out what we’re going to do moving forward. And I’m sick of change. I’m sick of losing. I just want stability and f*cking consistency, and that’s all that matters to me. I want to win.”

Crosby is the second star player to endorse Pierce as the next head coach, with wide receiver Davonte Adams showing his support for the former NFL linebacker earlier in the week.
“I mean, he’s come in and done a great job and he’s continued to win us over,” Adams said. “It’s not just the comfortable thing; I think having A.P. here will be good for this organization. He kind of embodies what it means to be a Raider and that mentality, that swag and all the things that he endorses is the things that I believe in.”
Since Pierce took over for the fired Josh McDaniels, the Raiders have gone 4-4 with fifth-round rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell at quarterback. The Raiders are currently 4-9 and will miss the playoffs, but they have shown much more cohesiveness and discipline under Pierce.
Pierce, who was part of the New York Giants’ Super Bowl XLII winning team, previously served as the associate head coach and defensive coordinator at Arizona State before joining the Raiders as linebackers coach.
Midseason, he was promoted to interim coach, and he’ll once again be looking for a promotion in the offseason to the full-time leading man.
