Virginia Tech scored a big win over Tulane in the Military Bowl on Wednesday night, but the celebration did not go as planned for one Hokies fan.

Following the 41-20 win at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, the Virginia Tech faithful rushed the field. Unfortunately for one of the fans, he met his match in the form of a security guard’s shoulder.

The security guard was doing his best to keep fans off of the field, but most were able to escape his grasp. However, the one fan took a shoulder to the chest and was lifted off of his feet.

Instead of getting back to his feet and continuing to rush the field, he hung his head in defeat and staggered back into the stands.

You can’t win ’em all.

With the win, Virginia Tech advanced to 7-6 on the season and earned its first bowl win since 2016. Tulane, meanwhile, entered the game as the No. 23 team in the nation but falls to 11-3.
