Raiders’ Jack Jones Explains Pulling Ball Away From Kid; Video Backs Him Up

Las Vegas Raiders defensive back Jack Jones came under fire for appearing to pull the ball away from a kid after a pick-six in the team’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.

Jones intercepted Patrick Mahomes and took it to the house, before extending the ball towards a young fan in the front row.

But as the kid reached for the ball, Jones yanked it away and people thought he was trolling the young Chiefs fan. People were ripping Jones for being rude to the kid, calling him classless and a prick and much worse, but Jones took to X to defend himself and explain what really happened.

According to Jones, he was actually pulling the ball away from another fan who was reaching over the kid and trying to steal the ball away. When you look closely at the video, it backs up Jones’ claim.

“I didn’t snatch that ball from the kid it was from that blac dude who tried to take it watch it again lollipop,” Jones wrote.

Even if Jones was pulling the ball away from the kid, it’s a rivalry game, so it’s kind of funny. But the funniest part? The guy who tried to put Jones on blast ended up getting roasted and called a “lollipop” from the NFLer.

That’s going to be a tough one to live down.

And honestly, the biggest takeaway from this for me is that I need to start calling people “lollipop” more often.
