Shaq caught wind of comments made earlier in the week by Chris “Mad Dog” Russo on ESPN First Take and he couldn’t help but to respond.

Earlier in the week, Mad Dog shared his all-time center rankings on First Take and said that Shaq was the fifth-best center in NBA history. Shaq wasn’t having any of it and responded on his podcast, Big Podcast, after co-host Adam Lefkoe played the clip of Russo criticizing Shaq for saying Stephen Curry was one of the greatest players of all time.

“Who the f–k is that?,” Shaq asked about Russo. “Let’s just get it straight — I would smack the s–t out of that dude.”

“I’m the most dominant center ever. I don’t ever want to hear another name again. OK? So that would put me at number 3. I passed Hakeem Olajuwon. The king beat me, I came back and beat him. Moses Malone, I passed him up. Four, five, six years ago, before I retired.”

Shaq is undeniably one of the most dominant centers of all-time, and to knock him down the rankings for suggesting Curry could be in the GOAT debate is a bit of a low blow. So Mad Dog had what was coming to him.

Throughout his 19-year career, the 7-foot-1 center was a four-time NBA champion, three-time NBA Finals MVP, 2000 NBA MVP, 15-time NBA All-Star, and a two-time NBA scoring champion.
