An Alabama football player was arrested on Wednesday for an STD-related crime.
According to a report from The Tuscaloosa Thread, 19-year-old offensive lineman Elijah Pritchett was arrested for knowingly passing an STD.
“Pritchett, 19, was charged under AL Code 22-11A-21, which classifies the knowing transmission of a sexually transmitted disease as a Class C misdemeanor,” the report states.
Pritchett was released on a $500 bond.

Details were not released because of laws protecting medical information.
Prichett, a highly-touted recruit, competed for the starting left tackle job this season and was part of the team’s rotation. The 6-foot-6, 312-pound tackle played in every game for Alabama this season.
The Crimson Tide are set to face the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines on Monday, January 1 in the Rose Bowl. If Alabama can upset the Wolverines, they’ll punch their ticket to another national championship game appearance.
