Someone on the Adidas social media team forgot to log out of the company account on Friday morning as the company started December off with a bang.

The site Nice Kicks sent out a tweet asking whether Kevin Durant would ever wear Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards’ signature Adidas sneaker, the AE1s.

Of course, Durant is signed to Nike, and he quickly replied: “Won’t EVER see me put a big toe in them Mfers.”

It was a harmless, entertaining jab, but it caught the eye of someone at Adidas.

Whoever was behind the company’s X account at the time fired off a since-deleted response to the Phoenix Suns star, likely thinking they were sending a tweet from their own burner account.

“U dusty,” the brave person responded. “Bouta retire soon anyway.”

Whoops.

Now, it happens to the best of us, but whoever was manning the Adidas account at the time will probably be unemployed for the holiday.

Unfortunate timing? Sure, but thanks for the Friday laugh.
