College Football Playoff Rankings 2023: Updated Rankings Entering Week 12

The third College Football Playoff rankings of the 2023 season were released on Tuesday, November 14, so we are seeing how things are shaping up entering the final stretch of the regular season.

In the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings, the defending back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs took over the top spot, followed by Ohio State.

If the season were to end today, the Bulldogs would face No. 4 Florida State in the national semifinal, while Ohio State would go head-to-head to No. 3 Michigan.

On the outside looking in are Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Alabama, who will all have the opportunity to earn a playoff spot if they win out and win their respective conference championships.

About the College Football Playoff: The College Football Playoff matches the No. 1 ranked team vs. No. 4, and No. 2 vs. No. 3 in semifinal games that rotate annually among six bowl games – the Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Capital One Orange Bowl, Allstate Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential. This season’s Playoff Semifinals will take place Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential and Allstate Sugar Bowl.
