Week 11 of the college football season brought plenty to the table. Teams are still jostling for positions in the College Football Playoff, while others are fighting even to have bowl eligibility.
The week that was brought closure to thrilling rivalries and gave life to another quarterback making his pitch for the Heisman Trophy.
Here are the five biggest headlines from Week 11.
5. Rising Tide

The Crimson Tide of November are the polar opposite of what they were in September. In the first month of the season, the Crimson Tide looked to be going down a path of unfamiliar territory.
However, the program has found stability at quarterback with Jalen Milroe and now has earned another SEC West title.
A future date with Georgia is set, but for now, Nick Saban is focused on finishing the regular season on a ten-game winning streak.
4. No Coach, No Problem

The Michigan football program dominated the news cycle last week, and for good reason. Sign stealing allegations are running rampant, and for that, the NCAA has suspended Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh from being on the sidelines during game day.
However, Harbaugh’s absence didn’t affect Michigan’s play on the field.
The Wolverines cruised past Penn State on Saturday and look like a team on a mission to prove that stealing signs isn’t the reason they’ve been a top team the past few seasons.
3. Vote Jayden Daniels For Heisman 2023

LSU took down Florida in an absolute barn burner down in Baton Rouge. The Tigers finished off the Gators 52-35, but it was the performance of LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels that had everyone talking.
Daniels tossed three touchdowns on 372 yards passing, as well as led the team in rushing yards with 234 while finding the endzone twice on the ground.
The Tigers don’t have the record for a typical Heisman winner, but there’s no denying the talent of Daniels.
2. Tobacco Road Thriller

It’s a different time when you’re talking about a battle between North Carolina and Duke, and it doesn’t involve basketball. However, both programs delivered a thrilling matchup on Saturday night when the Tar Heels took down the Blue Devils 47-45 in double overtime.
UNC keeps their conference title hopes alive with the victory, while Duke still has a chance to finish with eight wins on the season, with just Pittsburgh and Virginia remaining on their schedule.

The final season of the Pac-12 as we know it isn’t going away silent. The Washington Huskies continue to prove they are playoff material, as the team took down Utah on Saturday to improve to 10-0 on the year.
Oregon, whose only loss is to the Huskies, handled business in a 36-27 victory over USC.
It seems to be inevitable that the Pac-12 Championship Game will be the opportunity for Ducks or Huskies to punch their playoff ticket.
