WFAN’s Shaun Morash has made it very clear that he is not happy with New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson for taking a trip with his girlfriend, Nicolette Dellanno, during the team’s bye week, and now the sports radio host is doubling down.
Morash initially generated some attention after ripping the quarterback for traveling to Utah with Dellanno.
Of course, Wilson was traveling to spend some time with his family during the bye week, but Morash wasn’t having any of it.
“Zach Wilson, in what is about to be the biggest stretch of his career, decided it was a good time to take his girlfriend to Utah to apple and pumpkin picking and go to haunted houses,” Morash said earlier this week. “He’s a professional athlete. The family could fly to New York and New Jersey. I’m sorry, the Jets stink after their byes. Zach Wilson’s season last year derailed after a bye. I believe 52 guys could’ve gone and visited families.

“The quarterback, the leader needs to be at or around that facility all week last week and Zach Wilson has not done enough to get his ass on a plane with his girlfriend and go to Utah for a week.”
That led to plenty of criticism because, well, even professional athletes need some time off to recover and be with their families. But in the eyes of Morash, it needs to be all football all of the time, and there is no room for spending time with your family and loved ones.
Morash doubled down on his criticism late Thursday night with more nonsense, comparing Wilson’s trip to Utah to Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s decision to stay in Cincinnati.

It’s good to know there are still hard-working people like Morash who never take a day off and are always in work mode. Personally, I know how exhausting it can be to sit at a desk and think about sports all day long. It really takes a toll on your body.
And family? Eh, there’s always tomorrow.
You know, it’s guys like Morash that really make the world go ’round. That’s why *checks notes* I’d never heard of him until he went on an unhinged rant about something so ridiculous.
Worry about yourself, Shaun. And don’t bash people for spending time with their families.
Football players are human. And they have actual lives off of the field.
