Deshaun Watson got caught in the crosshairs of a former Cleveland Browns quarterback who got into a back-and-forth with his personal quarterback trainer on social media.
Former first-round pick Brady Quinn pondered on the “2 Pros & A Cup Of Joe” show on FOX Sports Radio with LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knox whether Watson lost the desire to play after getting a big payday from the Browns.
Quinn went as far as to say that Watson, who has been dealing with a rotator cuff strain, simply doesn’t want to play football anymore.
“Everyone with a medical opinion has cleared Deshaun Watson,” Quinn said. “The situation is almost similar to a kid getting a $230 million trust fund. You ask them to get a job and they have no incentive to do it.”

Quincy Avery, who is Watson’s personal trainer, took issue with Quinn’s comments and chimed in on social media.
“Brady, I’m a be real,” Avery wrote on X. “You don’t know what the f*ck you are talking bout, and sit behind a microphone gossiping like a little high school chick.”
Quinn responded by saying Avery has an open invitation to talk in person anytime he wants. Avery continued to tell Quinn that he didn’t know what he was talking about before the former NFL signal-caller delivered a brutal blow.
Quinn decided to take a direct shot at Watson’s massage scandal that led to his departure from the Houston Texans and suspension from the NFL.

“How about we massage this conversation and get it to a happy ending?,” Quinn fired back. “Does that sound satisfactory?”
Game. Set. Match. Quinn.
You can’t come back from that, and Avery wisely walked away from his keyboard.
Watson continues to be day-to-day with his injury, and it looks like he could miss another week. This week, the Browns signed PJ Walker, who is 2-0 in Watson’s absence, to the active roster from the practice squad on a one-year deal.
Up next for the Browns is a trip to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in Week 8.
