Twitter (X) Data Shows Every State’s Pick For The 2023-24 NBA Title

The 2023-24 NBA regular season is underway and every team across the league is in the mix for the championship… for now.

But what do the people think?

The folks at BetOnline.ag analyzed geo-tagged keyword association data over the past week, tracking key phrases, hashtags, and teams names to determine who each state thought would be this year’s champion

For example, tweets with “NBA championship” “NBA Finals,” NBA champs,” “win it all,” “championship,” and more, were used in the survey.

More than 500,000 tweets were tracked for the study.

When it was all said and done, preseason favorites topped the list with the defending champion Denver Nuggets receiving the nod from the most states followed by the Boston Celtics. The Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks also had plenty of support.

The 2023-24 NBA regular season officially tips off on Tuesday, October 24.

The NBA Playoffs will begin on Saturday, April 20, with Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals set for Thursday, June 6.
