Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was involved in a scary incident shortly after midnight on Friday.
According to TMZ Sports, the 29-year-old was robbed at gunpoint outside of a Los Angeles area hotel and police were called to the scene.
The robbers reportedly made away with over $100,000 in jewelry — including a luxury watch.
Los Angeles police have launched an investigation into the matter, but no arrests have been made. The good news, however, is that Robinson was not harmed during the incident.
Robinson began his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs as a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Florida. He was a member of Kansas City’s Super Bowl LIV championship team. The former Gator also played with the Baltimore Ravens in 2022 before joining the Rams this past offseason.
Throughout his career, Robinson has recorded 193 catches for 2,137 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The Los Angeles Rams return to action this weekend and host the Pittsburgh Steelers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, October 22. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.
